The Attorney General is the last line of defense between the citizenry and government. As your Attorney General in 2013, I fought for you.
I fought for state’s rights, to keep children safe, and to preserve access to public lands.
I pledge to protect those same values again as your Attorney General.
As anyone brings their life experience to public office, I will bring my own- seeing our justice system from the inside out. I’ve seen abuse by those in power, having been falsely accused and acquitted on all charges.
I will fight for reform.

PROTECTING STATE RIGHTS
States rights belong to you, just like your tax dollars do. States, through people, created the federal government and they enjoy only the rights we granted to it or which we allow it to take. That’s in the Constitution and I’ll defend it in court like I did with my work against the unconstitutional Obamacare and in my fight to protect our rights to Utah lands.
PROTECTING AGAINST CRIME
Protecting your rights means protecting your ability to feel safe and keep what you have earned. That applies to my job as attorney general because, as the chief law enforcement officer of the State, I can influence the enforcement of our laws in the Counties and by the Office of the Attorney General.
PUBLIC PROTECTION
Most everyone knows a person who has been pushed around by a government employee or agency. Whether it’s a new, unmarried college graduate working in the Division of Child and Family Services, the investigator at the Division of Consumer Protection, or an employee of the State Tax Commission, abuse is never right.
PROSECUTION CHECKS & BALANCES
Checks and balances. Our constitutional system was designed
with checks and balances to protect our rights from government
abuse. Who should hold unlimited, unrestrained power in our Republic?
